New Construction
Please follow the steps outlined in the following pages to obtain electric service for a new residence or business. Please note, the timing of the total process varies substantially with the complexity of the service, weather, time of year, ability to obtain easements, and other factors.
Residential Services (not a subdivision)
- Call PVREA at 1-800-432-1012; be sure to have the service address or parcel number available.
- A representative from PVREA will schedule a field meeting to determine the requirements and location of the service.
- The service will then be designed and the member will be provided with an estimate.
- Once the estimate is paid, a representative from PVREA will work with the member to get various paperwork filed and procedures in motion leading up to scheduling construction.
- The service will then be scheduled with construction, and later it will be built.
- The member must then have an inspection performed by the authority having jurisdiction (typically the city or county in which they reside).
- Once PVREA has received notification of a successful inspection, a meter will be set, and the service will be energized.
Business/Small Commercial Services
