Power Peak Rewards
full width paragraph
PVREA will pay you to use less energy when everyone else is using more. And your smart thermostat can do it automatically.
How It Works
- Poudre Valley REA wants to lower demand during energy peak hours, like those hot summer afternoons when everyone’s cranking up the air conditioning.
- A Nest or Ecobee thermostat can help you use less energy by tweaking the temperatures up to three degrees during the peak hours, while still keeping you comfortable.
- You need to be a Poudre Valley REA member with central air conditioning or a heat pump, and working Wi-Fi to participate.
The Rewards
- $50 Enrollment Reward for signing up - credited directly to your electric bill.
- $30 Participation Reward credited directly to your electric bill after the cooling season (typically November) if you stay enrolled.
- Rewards are paid per member, not thermostat.
