Welcome to your cooperative. We’re your local, not-for-profit electricity provider, empowering the lives of those we serve.
Here at Poudre Valley REA, we’re different from other utility providers. As your not-for-profit electric cooperative, we exist to serve our members and empower your life by providing safe, reliable, affordable, and increasingly clean energy.
We’re governed by our Board of Directors who are elected by our membership. We invest in our communities. Return profits back to you. And live in the areas we serve. That’s the cooperative difference!
Learn About Our Cooperative DifferenceWe’re proud to provide you efficient energy solutions that fit your lifestyle. As a Poudre Valley REA member, you can choose your rate schedule, billing option, reward programs, and eco-friendly add-ons.
Which of these options best describe you?
Our most straightforward rate for residential members is ideal for energy users who like a simple, hands-free approach to their energy management.
You pay the same rate all the time, no matter when you’re using electricity. Your bill will fluctuate along with the season.
Your bill is rendered monthly after your use of our electric service.
Pay the energy rate (per kWh) for the total amount of electricity you use each month and the demand charge (per kW) for the highest amount of energy you demand from us all at once.
Get the advantage of lower-cost off-peak electricity prices through a Time-of-Use rate.
Perfect if you can shift your energy use or for people with programmable smart devices, thermostats, and appliances.
On-Peak: 4pm – 9pm Monday through Saturday except select holidays.
Off-Peak: 9pm – 4pm Monday through Saturday, all day Sunday, and select holidays.
Demand Charge /kW – Peak demand measures the maximum amount of electricity used at one time in a 15-minute window during the billing month, regardless of On-Peak and Off-Peak times. Spread electrical usage to reduce the peak demand charge.
If you want to pay for electricity as you use it – like fueling up your car or using a prepaid cellphone – then select Pre-Paid Metering.
There’s no late fees or deposits, no disconnect or reconnect fees. You decide when and how much to pay.
Start with a positive balance of $50. Then daily energy consumption is calculated and deducted from the credit balance available in your account.
When the funds run low, payment reminder notifications are sent by text and/or email. To maintain service, a positive balance must be achieved, with payments of at least $5 or greater.
Take the shock out of fluctuating bills.
Avoid winter and/or summer highs bills by averaging your amount due each month.
A rolling average method is used so your bill amount will vary from month to month, but you never have a settle-up or surprise month.
Set the average monthly bill cost as your amount due. Know what you’re going to pay every month.
Our rates are designed to empower your business.
Whether you’re a small mom-and-pop shop, an agricultural operation, oil & gas refinery, or large manufacturing plant – lean on the energy experts at your local electric cooperative.
