About Us

Remaining Affordable While Adding Value

Our members have the lowest residential cooperative rate in the state and among the lowest of any provider in our region.

We keep your rates affordable by giving you a voice in your electric service, through our not-for-profit business structure, and by returning margins back to you, our members, as member credits.

We also add value to your life by providing additional services like free safety demonstrations, donating to community nonprofits and charitable organizations, and providing scholarship and grant opportunities.

aWillox Community Solar Farm Location: Fort Collins, CO Size: 500 kW

Our second community solar farm was built in 2014. It uses 2,206 panels to generate more than 814,000 kWh per year. Our members subscribe to output from the array to power their homes and businesses.

bSkylark Solar Facility Location: Windsor, CO Size: 7 MW

This utility-scale solar facility generates over 15 million kWh a year, enough electricity to power over 1,580 homes.

cCoyote Ridge Community Solar Farm Location: Fort Collins, CO Size: 1.5 MW

Our members subscribe to the almost 2.9 million kWh a year solar output at this community solar farm located at the Larimer County Landfill. It was built in 2017 by more than 300 volunteers.

dHighlands Community Solar Location: Windsor, CO Size: 100 kW

The first community solar farm here in Northern Colorado was built in 2012. The 500 photovoltaic panels generate about 180,000 kWh per year. Our members subscribe to output from the array to power their homes and businesses.

This utility-scale solar facility generates renewable energy locally from the over 48,000 solar panels. Built in 2015, it has been generating 9.6 million kWh per year, or enough electricity to power over 1,000 homes.

Since 2012 we've been turning water into power at the Robert V. Trout Hydropower Plant at Carter Lake. Two turbines spin to generate 8.9 million kWh, or enough electricity for nearly 1,000 homes.
