Ron Sutherland retired from the Poudre Valley REA Board of Directors after 32 years of dedicated service to the cooperative and its members.
During his tenure, Ron helped guide PVREA through decades of change and growth: from moving into the current office building in 1995, to the early development of smart meters, to navigating major challenges like the High Park Fire and 2013 flood. When Ron joined the board, the cooperative served fewer than 30,000 members. Today, that number has doubled to nearly 60,000. A lifelong champion of our cooperative and members, Ron has consistently represented the values and needs of rural Colorado. His deep respect for agriculture, family farming, and the land has shaped his perspective and guided his steady advocacy for our cooperative and the communities we serve.
Please join us in thanking Ron for his 32 years of service to PVREA!
