Outage Follow Up
Thank you again to our members for your patience and support during last night’s outage. Power has been fully restored, and we want to share a behind-the-scenes look at what caused the disruption.
Our power supplier reported two downed transmission structures, which led to the widespread outage. While their crews worked to assess and repair their damage, PVREA line crews rerouted power on our distribution system to restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
We’re proud of the teamwork and dedication shown by everyone involved—and we’re grateful for the understanding of our members throughout this event.

Final Outage Update – 12:28 AM
Power has been fully restored to all members.
This outage was caused by a transmission issue involving two downed structures from our power supplier. We appreciate the hard work of our crews and the support of our members throughout the restoration process.

🚨 Outage Update – 11:30PM
Power restoration efforts are actively underway as crews continue responding to a transmission issue impacting our system.
Our power supplier has reported two downed transmission structures, which are contributing to the outage. While their crews work to assess and repair the damage, PVREA line crews are rerouting power on the distribution system to restore service to as many members as possible.

🚨 Outage Update – 10:31PM
Power restoration efforts are ongoing. Crews are continuing to patrol the lines and work through the transmission issue.
PVREA line crews and our power supplier are actively working to switch load and restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
You may experience intermittent power blinks during this process—this is normal as we reroute power and bring systems back online.
This outage is due to an issue on the transmission system, which is how PVREA receives power from our supplier. Once received, we deliver that power to our members through our distribution lines. Our crews are working closely with the supplier to resolve the issue and restore service.

We’ve made progress and have restored power to many members, but just over 6,000 remain without service due to the transmission line event.
PVREA crews and our power supplier are actively working to restore power to the remaining members as quickly and safely as possible.
We truly appreciate your continued patience and understanding. We’ll keep sharing updates as we receive them.
